HISTORY OF THE 117TH SEPARATE HEAVY MECHANIZED BRIGADE
The 117th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade is a young but battle-hardened military unit, established at the end of 2022. We’ve come a long way — from our first training shot on the range to full-scale combat operations in the Zaporizhzhia direction, where we broke through enemy defenses and liberated key settlements.
The brigade is equipped with modern armored vehicles and weaponry, has undergone intensive training, and has proven its effectiveness in the hottest zones of the front. We hold our positions, eliminate the enemy, and strengthen Ukraine’s defenses every single day.
Our motto — “By fire and sword!” — is more than just words. It reflects our strength, our honor, and our unwavering commitment to Ukraine.
